When It Rains It Pours

WHEN WINDOWS WON’T OPEN, AND THE SALT CLOGS THE SHAKER, THE WEATHER WILL FAVOR THE UMBRELLA MAKER!

When the air is full of moisture and humidity, wood frames tend to absorb the moisture and swell, making it very hard to open windows. In these weather conditions, salt absorbs moisture, clumping up and making it impossible for the salt to freely pour out of the tiny shaker holes, that's why we add rice to salt shakers, so they can absorb the excess moisture.

This morning I heard the Lord say:" When it rains, it pours!"

Knowing the negative connotation of this saying, I siad :"Oh no Lord! Please! No more rain!"

I heard Him say:" Look at where this phrase originated from"

The original 18th century proverb said: "It never rains, but it pours". Which, as we all know, means that when one bad thing happens, it's usually followed by other misfortunes.

In 1911 the Morton Salt company, adapted the saying to :"When it rains, it pours" making it their very successful slogan, promessing that their salt would remain free flowing, even in humid weather.

So I asked The Lord:" What are You telling me Lord?"

He said:"I am changing the meaning of this saying. The rain that I will pour over you, is a different type of rain! It's not a rain of misfortunes, but a rain of blessings! The windows of heaven will not be shut over you! There will not be any clogs stopping my blessings from pouring down on you!

It will not be a light shower, but it will be as if the walls of a dam have given out because of the accumulation of all the blessings and promises that have been held up! These blessings have accumulated interest, and are about to overtake you and your family. They will come one after the other! Get ready! Your nets will be so full that you will barely be able to pull them in!

Believe Me when I say this, cast your nets on the right side! Keep your eyes and minds on Me and what I say! Obey my commands and you shall see the rain, abundant rain!

I spoke the word to Elijah, and though there was no sign of rain, he told the king: “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!”(1 Kings 18:41 NLT)

He heard it in the spirit, before he could see it in the natural!

Even then, he had to contend for it! He climbed on Mount Carmel, and with his head between his knees, he prayed for rain!! It's not enough to just believe, you need to position yourself to receive the blessings. Believe, then act, and I will endow you with supernatural strength to accomplish everything I need you to!

Do not let the circumstances around you dictate how you feel and how you speak!

Speak My truth, declare the promises and prophetic words spoken over you and you shall see the spiritual and physical weather change right before your eyes!!

The rain is coming and it will benefit not just you, but also those around you.

So when it feels like the windows of heaven won't open and the blessings won't pour, know that it is just a result of the moisture in the spiritual realm.

Because I am about to open the floodgates of heaven and there isn't umbrella big enough to shield you from the blessings and the joy that will be coming down upon you!

Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!” So they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it.

41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!”

42 So Ahab went to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees.

43 Then he said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.”

The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, “I didn’t see anything.”

Seven times Elijah told him to go and look. 44 Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.”

Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’”

45 And soon the sky was black with clouds. A heavy wind brought a terrific rainstorm, and Ahab left quickly for Jezreel. 46 Then the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt[g] and ran ahead of Ahab’s chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel.
