PRAY FOR WEAK HANDS AND FEEBLE KNEES

Updated: Jul 28, 2020

The Lord woke me up on June 6th at 2:12 am, with these words: "Pray the next 25 days for 1 hour each day." As I was writing it down, I asked Him: "what would you like me to pray for?" He said: "Hands and knees."

I wrote that down and went back to sleep.

In the morning I read what I wrote and thought, maybe the Lord wants me to pray every day for one hour for the healing in hands and knees, maybe for arthritis; but I sensed it meant more than that.

So I sarted searching for Bible verses that had both the words "hands and knees" in them.

The 25th day from June 7th is July 1st, the 7th month.

The number 7, Zayin is a weapon in Hebrew. The perfect weapon is the Sword of the Spirit, by which spiritual warfare is

accomplished, for “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal” (2 Cor. 10:4).

Seven is the biblical number of completion and spiritual perfection. As such, Psalm 7 speaks of the two floods by

which the earth is cleansed and brought to the perfect order of the Kingdom.

Praying for God's perfect will so that His Kingdom may be established on Earth as it is in heaven!

The Hebrew number 25 consists of two Hebrew letters, kaph and hey. Kaph is an open palm, the act of giving or

covering. Hey means inspiration, or the breath of God, and generally has to do with the Holy Spirit. Thus, 25 has to do

with laying on of hands to bless people with the Holy Spirit.

Praying for our brothers and sisters and covering them in prayer!

Twenty-five is the number of blessing. It is five squared, and so twenty-five is related to five, the number of grace.

July 1st of the Gregorian calendar, corrisponds to Tammuz 9th on the Hebrew calendar.

In the eleventh year of Zedekiah's unfortunate reign, on the 9th day in the month of Tammuz, after a long siege, during which hunger and epidemics claimed countless victims in the besieged city, the walls of Jerusalem were breached by the Babylonian armies of King Nebuchadnezzar and King Zedekiah of Judah was captured and taken to Babylon. (Jeremiah 52)

Zedekiah did evil in the eyes of The Lord, he was a fearful, weak leader. He allowed everything to be practiced and did not take a stand for righteousness.

Therefore The Lord caused Jerusalem to be overtaken.

Staying silent and not standing up for righteousness when we can, will cause our walls, our defenses, to be breached!

All the verses I found about hands and knees all refer to Weak hands and feeble knees which is common description of weakening and slackness.

John MacArthur explains the background for why the writer of Hebrews 12:12 quotes from this encouraging OT passage - The writer of Hebrews got his metaphor from Isaiah 35. The faithful in Israel had been through a lot. They had many evil kings, some false prophets, powerful enemies who threatened them, and seemingly no prospect of ever living in their own land in peace. They were discouraged and despondent, ready to give up.

A lot like us right now!

So the prophet reminds them of the coming kingdom, when "the wilderness and the desert will be glad" and "they will see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God" (Isa. 35:1-2). Then he counsels them to counsel each other:

Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, "Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; the recompense of God will come, but He will save you! (Isa. 35:3-4). Don't give up now. A better day is coming. Look to that and you will have the encouragement and strength you need. Victory is ahead!"

I believe The Lord is calling us to pray for our oppressed brothers and sisters all over the world. To take one hour each day for the next 25 days and dedicate it to the intercession of those that are weak, afraid, depressed, oppressed and cry out on their behalf!

Our prayers will be a sweet a smelling fragrance to Him! Prayers birthed out of love for our brothers and sisters!

July 1st we will see the walls of injustice crumbling down!!!

Let's brake the chains of racism, oppression, sickness, addiction, depression, and rejection!! Our voices carry power and authority!!

Let's cry out for justice!! There is so much power in unity!!

Love is the greatest power of all!!

John 15:13

There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
